Happy Sys Admin Appreciation Day!
Today, Friday the 29th of July 2011, is the 12th annual System Administrator Appreciation Day!
The official Sys Admin website states:
“Let’s face it, System Administrators get no respect 364 days a year. This is the day that all fellow System Administrators across the globe, will be showered with expensive sports cars and large piles of cash in appreciation of their diligent work. But seriously, we are asking for a nice token gift and some public acknowledgement. It’s the least you could do.”
So a big thank you to all those Sys Admins out there who play with cables and make sure networks are secure, who protect us from spam and viruses and who come into work in the wee hours of the morning to get the real work done. Big props to our own Sys Admins Ozzie, Tofiqul, JB, Darrell and Jonno. We love your work, and the sports car is in the mail…
